ITGen Feline Giardia Antigen Rapid Test
The ITGen Feline Giardia Antigen Rapid Test is an in vitro diagnostic tool developed based on immunochromatographic principles. It uses colloidal gold-labeled specific antibodies to recognize Giardia antigens in feline fecal samples, forming an antigen-antibody complex that develops color on the test line, enabling rapid and intuitive assessment of infection

It is particularly well-suited for rapidly identifying nonspecific symptoms of Giardia infection, such as diarrhea, weight loss, and indigestion, thereby improving diagnostic efficiency and reducing the risk of misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis. Giardia is a common intestinal protozoan in cats, widely distributed worldwide and highly contagious.
The risk of transmission is significantly increased in crowded environments such as multi-cat households, pet stores, and animal shelters.
Its pathological mechanism primarily involves parasitizing the intestinal villi epithelium, disrupting the mucosal structure, impairing absorption, and inducing an immune response, leading to persistent diarrhea and nutritional disorders. In severe cases, it can affect a cat’s growth, development, and immune stability.
Due to the intermittent excretion of the worms, the sensitivity of traditional fecal microscopy is limited. However, this kit overcomes this difficulty through targeted antigen detection and significantly improves the detection rate. How to use? Check the product contents and make sure the test operation is under the room temperature (15–30℃) before testing.
